At Trovit we give a lot of importance to helping out each other and bonding with our teammates. That’s why, twice a year, we organize team building getaways to get to know our colleagues better, strengthen ties of mutual trust and, why not, have some fun! This time has been very special to us. Not only we have lived an unforgettable experience and grown as a team, but we have also done our bit for a good cause.
This summer we went to Port Aventura and Ferrari Land, two amusement parks in Salou, not far from Barcelona. There, we had to complete some tasks and score as many points as we could. Logic says it all: the more you got, the more chances to win! We went up to roller coasters, tested our handcrafting skills, and even danced a “haka”. The motivation was not only having fun, there was a final reward: all the points we collected would become a donation for charity.
Choosing the charity
As we have done every time we have collected donations, the nonprofit organization was voted by all Trovit employees to make the process as democratic as possible. We’re happy to announce that this time we donated the funds to Aldeas Infantiles, a Spanish organization whose work focuses on abandoned, destitute and orphaned children requiring family-based child care. This year it’s their 50th anniversary, half a century protecting children in Spain for which they have been awarded the Princesa de Asturias 2016.
Aldeas Infantiles tries to improve the life of those who really need it and help them have a dignified and safe childhood, be integrated into society and look at the future with hope and confidence. And we are so excited to make our little contribution to make this possible!
Apart from this initiative, here we also encourage our staff to give back to the community with small gestures that can make a difference. For example, we offer the possibility of setting aside 1€ per month from their salary to donate to a charity at the end of the year or volunteering for nonprofit organizations. We’re incredibly proud to have such conscientious people working with us, and we are looking forward to continue doing it in the future!
